Energy isolation

Maintenance, repair, clean-up, commissioning, or similar activities at sites where accidental release of hazardous energy may occur, such as:

● In the tower, containers (such as tanks, cauldrons, etc.), heat exchangers, pumps and other equipment at the electrification, limited space, fire, disassembly and other operations

● High voltage operations (including those near high voltage lines)

● Jobs requiring temporary shutdown of security systems

● Ground work

● High and deep pit work

● The operation on the radioactive source equipment, etc

Operators (or supervisors) and construction personnel to identify common risks and identified risks to effectively reduce acceptable conditions.

The operator (or monitor) of the relevant position shall draw up the energy isolation list with the diagram of energy isolation. Each isolation point should be numbered and the isolation point status (lock open; The isolation method of the isolation point must be verified to be accurate.

The specific implementation of the isolation scheme shall be carried out by the relevant operators. When the operators have confirmed that the implementation is correct, they shall jointly confirm with the construction personnel the effect of energy isolation and the absence of any harmful energy (and the test), which shall be signed by both parties for confirmation. The testing part is the essence and purpose of its energy isolation!
