Energy Isolation training
Personnel involved in energy isolation and locking operations prior to tertiary education and pre-operation safety shall receive training in this Provision.
2. The training must include:
How to identify hazardous energy sources;
Methods of energy isolation;
The purpose of locking;
Hazard of accidental electrification of equipment;
Hazard of incorrect valve operation.
3. Operators who need to participate in the locking procedure must receive regular retraining or retraining under the following circumstances:
The inspection finds that the procedures for energy isolation and locking have not been followed;
Failure to follow procedures caused the accident;
This procedure has been modified;
The equipment or device has been replaced.
