There is no need to execute device detail isolation procedures when all of the following conditions are met:

There is no stored or residual energy in the equipment or machinery itself;

Equipment and machinery have only a single energy source, and can be easily identified and isolated;

Isolating and cutting off the energy source can completely remove the energy of equipment and machinery;

In the maintenance process can ensure that the equipment, mechanical energy source is cut off and isolated intact;

Use a lock to achieve the locking state;

Each maintenance personnel can effectively control their own lock;

Maintenance operations will not cause harm to other personnel;

In the above exceptional cases of equipment maintenance operations, there have been no accidents caused by accidental energy release.

There is no need to execute the LOTO program in any of the following cases

A routine, repetitive operation performed during normal operation

Minor maintenance activities, such as minor tool changes and adjustments, required for equipment operation and production;

Work on the electrical plug connected to the power supply equipment and the plug is under the control of the non-operating personnel;

Qualified personnel working on electrical lines or components that are not isolated;

Operate on live parts under 50V voltage and based on risk assessment

There will be no spark caused by combustion or explosion;

Installation, including the communication or testing of related equipment, not under the control of the electrical facilities used to generate, transmit or distribute electrical energy;

Operations that may be exposed to electrical hazards carried out in or near a plant substation, on conductors or equipment connected between a substation and a power supply line.
